Consecrated

Consecration is remarkable! When we set aside the ordinary and give it a holy and sacred role, we elevate it above the commonplace. Holiness means to be set apart, different. When we consecrate anything, we imbue it with a nature of purity, honestly proclaiming what it is or has become.

Imagine a consecrated life, an offering. I am not talking about sacrifice, but a purposeful manner of performing actions filled with humility and truth. To consecrate each day when we rise and examine the moments when we could have done better impels us to take part in renewing the world.

When we cooperate with God’s will, we sanctify his creation. How wonderful, since we lost paradise and had to leave the garden and make our way back home.

One response to “Consecrated”

  1. So beautiful. One of my favorite scriptures is in Romans “Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭TPT‬‬
