Remain With Me

Words that come from the depths of our hearts.

What a request! This is much more than a desire; it’s a need. To hear such a call from one afflicted is a heartbreaking experience that demands a response to offer everything we can give. How can we deny such a plea and not feel cold-hearted if we don’t?

Talk about a traveling companion.

Mother Teresa would tell everyone who worked at her homes for the dying to drop everything and attend any person the moment they were passing from this life. She claimed no one should die alone, to feel abandoned when facing death.

Stay with me.

Even the Lord asked Peter, James, and John to stay awake with him during his passion in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before he died. We are made to be with each other, especially at the point we have little strength to continue when we know what is to come.
