Of course creation sings!
Why wouldn’t it? The song cannot be restrained.
Delighted that it exists, the mountain must proclaim the pleasure of its height and craggy peak and waters flowing to the valleys below. The ocean is pleased with itself as its waves roll across the miles to crash upon its boundary, the sandy shore. The gentle rain falls and cries out its happiness when it kisses the leaves and the fields below.
The words of nature are not ours. Its own unique language is rich in its resplendent sound. But our voices can join in the song and give words to God’s power and gentle ways. More than an echo of beauty, the song of creation becomes part of his gladness.
